2-4000 - DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED.

The County is hereby divided into judicial districts. The judicial districts named in this chapter are hereby established, and the description of their boundaries shall be as set forth in this chapter.

2-4001 - STOCKTON JUDICIAL DISTRICT.

The Stockton Judicial District shall include all that portion of San Joaquin County lying within the boundaries of the Second Supervisorial District and a portion of the First, Third, and Fourth Supervisorial Districts, said judicial district being comprised of Stockton Township and portions of O'Neal, Union, Castoria and Douglass Townships, the exterior boundary of said judicial district being described as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of the easterly boundary of San Joaquin County with the centerline of State Highway Route 26 (formerly State Highway Route 3); thence southeasterly and southerly along said County boundary 14 ¾ miles, more or less, to intersection with the center of Carter Road at the southeast corner of Section 36, T. 1 N., R. 9 E.; thence westerly along the center of Carter Road 4 miles to the center of Escalon-Bellota Road at the southwest corner of Section 33, T. 1 N., R. 9 E.; thence northerly along the center of Escalon-Bellota Road one-half mile to the center of Gawne Road at the ¼ Section corner on the westerly line of said Section 33; thence westerly along the center of Gawne Road 6.10 miles, more or less, to its intersection with the centerline of Mariposa Road near the ¼ Section corner on the easterly line of Section 32, T. 1 N., R. 8 E.; thence northwesterly and westerly along the center of said Mariposa Road 4 ⅛ miles, more or less, to the center of Austin Road near the northwest corner of Section 26, T. 1 N., R. 7 E.; thence southerly along the center of Austin Road ½ mile to the center of Arch Road near the ¼ Section corner on the westerly line of said Section 26; thence westerly along the center of Arch Road 2 ⅛ miles, more or less, to the center of State Highway Route 99; thence westerly along the center of Arch-Airport Road and along the center of Sperry Road 2.69 miles, more or less, to its intersection with the center of McKinley Avenue; thence northwesterly along the center of said McKinley Avenue 0.9 mile to its intersection with the centerline of Clayton Avenue to Mosswood Park, Map "C", a subdivision in Section 11 of the C.M. Weber Grant; thence southwesterly along the center of Clayton Avenue and along the southerly line of Lot 1 of South Stockton Garden Farms, ¾ mile, more or less, to the center of French Camp Slough; thence meandering the center of French Camp Slough downstream in a northwesterly direction 2 miles, more or less, to the center of the San Joaquin River; thence northwesterly along the center of said river ¾ mile, more or less, to the center of State Highway Route 4; thence westerly and southwesterly along the center of State Highway Route 4, a distance of 6 miles, more or less, to its intersection with the centerline of Bacon Island Road in Section 21, T. 1 N., R. 5 E.; thence northwesterly along the center of said Bacon Island Road to the center of Trapper Slough; thence southwesterly along the center of Trapper Slough and the center of Victoria Canal, 7 ½ miles to the westerly boundary of San Joaquin County in Old River; thence along said westerly boundary of San Joaquin County, meandering the center of Old River, downstream in a northerly direction, a distance of 19 miles, more or less, to its intersection with the center of San Joaquin River; thence southeasterly along the center of said river 2 miles, more or less, to the center of the Stockton Deep Water Channel; thence southeasterly along the center of said Deep Water Channel 3 miles, more or less, to its intersection with the center of Little Connection Slough; thence meandering the center of Little Connection Slough upstream in a northerly direction 1.25 miles, more or less, to intersection with the centerline of Eight Mile Road produced westerly; thence easterly along the produced centerline of Eight Mile Road 8 miles, more or less to intersection with the centerline of Thornton Road; thence continue easterly along the center of said Eight Mile Road on or near the northerly line of T. 2 N., R. 6 E., T. 2 N., R. 7 E., and T. 2 N., R. 8 E., 13.63 miles; thence leaving Eight Mile Road and continuing along the northerly line of T. 2 N., R. 8 E. and along the northerly line of T. 2 N., R. 9 E., easterly 5 miles, more or less, to intersection with the centerline of State Highway Route 26; thence northeasterly along the centerline of State Highway Route 26, a distance of 4.4 miles, more or less, to intersection with the easterly boundary of San Joaquin County the point of beginning.

2-4002 - LODI MUNICIPAL COURT DISTRICT.

The Lodi Municipal Court District shall include all that portion of San Joaquin County lying within a portion of the Fourth Supervisorial District, said municipal court district being comprised of Liberty, Elliot, and Elkhorn Townships, and portions of Douglass, Union and O'Neal Townships, the southerly boundary of said municipal court district being described as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of the westerly boundary of San Joaquin County with the center of the San Joaquin River; thence southeasterly along the center of said River 2 miles, more or less, to the center of the Stockton Deep Water Channel; thence southeasterly along the center of said Deep Water Channel 3 miles, more or less, to its intersection with the center of Little Connection Slough; thence meandering the center of Little Connection Slough upstream, in a northerly direction 1.25 miles, more or less, to intersection with the centerline of Eight Mile Road produced westerly; thence easterly along the produced centerline of Eight Mile Road 8 miles, more or less, to intersection with the centerline of Thornton Road; thence continue easterly along the center of said Eight Mile Road on or near the northerly line of T, 2 N., R. 6 E., T. 2 N., R. 7E., and T. 2N., R. 8E., 13.63 miles; thence leaving Eight Mile Road and continuing along the northerly line of T. 2 N., R. 8 E. and along the northerly line of T. 2 N., R. 9 E., easterly 5 miles, more or less, to intersection with the centerline of State Highway Route 26 (formerly State Highway Route 8); thence northeasterly along the centerline of State Highway Route 26, a distance of 4.4 miles, more or less, to intersection with the easterly boundary of San Joaquin County.

2-4005 - MANTECA-RIPON-ESCALON- TRACY JUDICIAL DISTRICT.

The Manteca-Ripon-Escalon-Tracy Judicial District shall include all that portion of San Joaquin County lying within the exterior boundaries of Dent, Ripon, and Tulare Townships and a portion of Castoria Township, and lying within the boundaries of the Fifth Supervisorial District and portions of the First and Third Supervisorial Districts, the exterior boundary of said judicial district being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at the corner common to the counties of Alameda, Santa Clara, Stanislaus and San Joaquin on the summit of Mt. Boardman, in Section 19, T. 5 S., R. 5 E., M. D. B. & M.; thence northeasterly along the boundary line between the counties of San Joaquin and Stanislaus 18 miles, more or less, to the center of the San Joaquin River; thence meandering the center of said river downstream in a general northerly direction ⅛ mile, more or less, to intersection with the center of the Stanislaus River in Section 19, T. 3 S., R. 7 E.; thence meandering the center of said Stanislaus River upstream in a northeasterly and easterly direction 27 miles, more or less, to its intersection with the easterly boundary of San Joaquin County; thence northerly along said easterly boundary 9 miles, more or less, to intersection with the centerline of Carter Road at the southeast corner of Section 36, T. 1 N., R. 9 E., M.D. B. & M.; thence westerly along the center line of said Carter Road, 4 miles to the center of Escalon-Bellota Road, at the southwest corner of Section 33, T. 1 N., R. 9 E.; thence northerly along the centerline of Escalon-Bellota Road, ½ mile to the center of Gawne Road at the ¼ section corner on the westerly line of said Section 33; thence westerly along the centerline of said Gawne Road 6.10 miles, more or less, to the center of Mariposa Road near the ¼ section corner on the easterly line of Section 32, T. 1 N., R. 8 E.; thence northwesterly and westerly along the center line of said Mariposa Road 4 ⅛ miles, more or less, to the center of Austin Road near the northwest corner of Section 26, T. 1 N., R. 7 E.; thence southerly along the centerline of Austin Road ½ mile to the center of Arch Road near the ¼ section corner on the westerly line of said Section 26; thence along the centerline of Arch Road 2 ⅛ miles, more or less, to the center of State Highway Route 99; thence westerly along the center of Arch-Airport Road and along the center of Sperry Road 2.69 miles, more or less, to the center of McKinley Avenue; thence northwesterly along the centerline of McKinley Avenue, 0.9 mile to the center of Clayton Avenue of Mosswood Park Map "C", a subdivision in Section 11 of the C. Weber Grant; thence southwesterly along the centerline of said Clayton Avenue and along the southerly line of Lot 1 of South Stockton Farms, a distance of ¾ mile, more or less, to the center of French Camp Slough; thence meandering the center of said French Camp Slough downstream in a northwesterly direction 2 miles, more or less, to the center of the San Joaquin River; thence northwesterly along the center of the San Joaquin River ¾ mile, more or less, to the center of State Highway Route 4; thence westerly and southwesterly along the centerline of said State Highway 6 miles, more or less, to the center of Bacon Island Road in Section 21, T. 1 N., R. 5 E.; thence northwesterly along the centerline of said Bacon Island Road to the center of Trapper Slough; thence southwesterly along the center of said slough and along the center of Victoria Canal, 7 ½ miles, more or less, to the westerly boundary of San Joaquin County, in Old River; thence along said westerly boundary, meandering the center of Old River upstream in a general southerly direction 4 miles, more or less, to the corner common to the counties of San Joaquin, Alameda and Contra Costa; thence southerly and southeasterly along the boundary line between the counties of Alameda and San Joaquin, 26 miles, more or less, to the point of beginning.
